Our Mission statement

Lane Arkiv is a modern costume hire house for film & television. We recognise the urgent need for change within the fashion supply chain. The textile industry is the fourth largest consumer of primary raw materials (after food, housing and transportation) and the fashion industry is the world’s second biggest polluter after oil.

We feel that we have an opportunity and a responsibility to help create change in our industry. We can contribute to a circular economy by diverting clothing from landfill and putting it back to use in the film industry. By doing so, we will be productions an alternative to fast fashion, encouraging them to reevaluate their approach to sustainability.

We recognise that we have a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to keeping our environmental impact low and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy operations, with regular review points every six months.

Laura Barham and Lucy McLaughlin are together responsible for ensuring that the environmental policy is implemented. Future employees of the company will be encouraged to comply with company environmental policy as a requirement with their employment.
